What is WMPD?

  • WMPD refers to Women, Minorities, and Persons with Disabilities

  • The term comes from a report that the United States Congress requires the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) to deliver in odd-numbered years. The report is called “Women, Minorities, and Persons with Disabilities in Science and Engineering.”

  • This WMPD Report provides statistical information on these groups’ participation in STEM.

  • NCSES is a federal statistical agency and is part of the National Science Foundation.
